1. Simple description:
SPA-H weathering steel, also known as atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel, refers to a type of low-alloy high-strength steel
containing a small amount of alloying elements, low price, and good corrosion resistance in the atmosphere. The main alloying
elements are Cu, P, Cr, Ni, Si, Mn, V, RE, etc. During the use of weathering steel, a dense and firmly attached protective film of
corrosion products will gradually form on the surface to prevent oxygen, water and other corrosive media in the atmosphere from
further corroding the substrate, so that the corrosion rate is greatly reduced compared to carbon steel. . Due to its high strength and
reasonable price, the production cost is much lower than stainless steel. SPA-H executive standard is: JISG3125-2015.

4. Application:
1) SPA-H is a weathering steel for container processing, cutting and welding. SPA-H is mainly used for ship containers,
steel bridges, ships and tanks to prevent atmospheric corrosion.
2) SPA-H weathering steel is mainly used to manufacture containers. The container transportation industry has a history of more than
50 years in the world. 30 years ago, my country’s container transportation was still empty. Since the reform and opening up, my country’s
port construction and container transportation have continued to develop. Especially in recent years, the international community has faced
the situation of “one container is hard to find.
5. Corrosion resistance principle：
When steel is exposed to sunlight and wind, its corrosion resistance is especially important. After adding phosphorus, copper, chromium,
nickel and other trace elements to the steel, a dense and strong protective film will be formed on the surface of the copper material, which
can play a certain protective role.
